Amber Zalkind-Hawkins MA LMHCA (Telehealth & Mukilteo)

I am passionate about creating a welcoming environment where your voice is heard and validated. As a therapist, my goal is to cultivate meaningful conversations and self-discovery. It takes a lot of courage to show up for yourself, and I want to be a guiding lighthouse to help you go where your heart desires with no judgment and create a safe space for you to explore the ups and downs of life. Through our time together, you will find encouragement, understanding, and connection that help you move forward with strength and hope.

In my personal life, I am a new mom and a proud dog mom to two fifteen-year-old dogs. I love ceramics and slow hikes in deep nature.

Healing happens by feeling the pain and being curious about it. Therapy is about being gentle with yourself and letting go of self-judgment. My intention is to be of service to you in creating the healing you are worthy of. I can’t wait to meet you.

Approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in the belief that you already have strengths and resilience within you. Therapy is about uncovering those strengths together and finding new ways forward. Therapy is a partnership. You bring your lived experience, and I bring tools, perspective, and support. Together we create a safe space to explore, grow, and heal.

I use many approaches because everyone is different. I use somatic therapy, polyvagal theory, humanistic, existential, person-centered, counseling cultural competency, DBT, CBT, ACT, mindfulness, parts work, psychoeducation, and motivational interviewing.
